Saima Pokolo

Saima Pokolo currently serves as the Head of Risk, Compliance, Governance and Financial Crime as well as Company Secretary at Alexforbes since April 2019. In addition, Saima is a Member of the Short-term Insurance Committee under the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises and holds multiple positions including Board Member at the Retirement Funds Institute of Namibia, Member of the Board of Trustees at Alexander Forbes Suite of Funds, and Trustee at Enongo Dependants Trust. Prior experience includes roles as a Legal Officer and Trainee Legal Officer at NAMFISA, Candidate Legal Practitioner at Amupanda Kamanja Inc, and Administrative Assistant at the University of Namibia. Educational qualifications comprise an MBA from the Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town, Chartered Board Exams from the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa, a Certificate in Business Risk Management from the University of Cape Town, an LLM from the University of Cape Town, an LLB from the University of Namibia, and a B. Juris from the University of Namibia.
