Alexandre Alapetite

Principal Software Solutions Architect at Alexandra Instituttet

Alexandre Alapetite has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering and research fields since 2001. In 2013, they began working as a Principal Software Solutions Architect, Senior Cyber-Physical Specialist, and Senior Software/ICT Engineer at Alexandra Instituttet. From 2007 to 2013, they worked at the Technical University of Denmark as a Senior Researcher, Researcher, and Post-doc. At the IT University of Copenhagen, they were a Research Assistant from 2007 to 2013, working on systems architecture for a location-based service, including RFID, Bluetooth, Servlets Java, SOAP, data analysis, and Web user interfaces with SVG. From 2003 to 2007, they were a PhD student and Master student at Risø National Laboratory, where they worked on speech recognition during anaesthesia, infrared vision, aviation, and automotive. Finally, from 2001 to 2003, they were a Bachelor student at CIRAD, where they worked on software for identification of animal and plant populations using statistical comparisons of their DNA.

Alexandre Alapetite received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Informatics and HCI from Roskilde University in 2007. Prior to that, they obtained an M.ASc in Artificial Intelligence, Pattern Recognition, and Robotics from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III in 2003. Alexandre also earned a B.ASc in Mathematics and Informatics from the University of Montpellier in 2002.
