Nicolai Mendgaard-Johannsen

Nicolai Mendgaard-Johannsen has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Nicolai is currently the Head of Insights Lab at Alexandra Instituttet since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an External Examiner at the University of Southern Denmark, University of Copenhagen, and Aarhus University from 2012 onwards. From 2019 to 2021, they held the position of Senior Manager, Lead User Lab, AFOL Engagement at The LEGO Group. Nicolai co-founded MADE Design, a design and innovation consultancy, where they served as a Co-founding Partner from 2013 to 2019. Additionally, they worked as an External Senior Lecturer at Designskolen Kolding from 2015 to 2018. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Innovation Consultant at Grundfos Management A/S, Innovation Manager at Region Syddanmark, and Market and Consumer Analyst at LEGO A/S.

From 1998 to 2005, Nicolai Mendgaard-Johannsen attended Aarhus University, where they pursued a degree in Anthropology (mag. art.) and focused their studies in the field of Anthropology.
