Rasmus Bækby has a diverse work experience spanning across various companies and roles. Starting in 2003, they worked at CCI Europe A/S as a Workflow Consultant, implementing software solutions for newspaper classifieds departments in Europe and North America. Rasmus then moved on to become a Product Manager, specifying best practices in newspaper advertising and ad selling.

In 2007, Rasmus joined Den Blå Avis as a Project Manager/Scrum Master. Their main responsibility was to help build an organization that could run software development projects within the Scrum framework while ensuring deliveries met the needs of a sales-driven organization and a dynamic market.

From 2008 to 2012, they worked at eBay in various roles. Rasmus was initially responsible for business development and product management of the motors market on dba.dk, Denmark's largest motors market. Rasmus then became Head of Project Management, leading the rethinking and adaptation of processes for managing the project portfolio. This involved setting up an enterprise Scrum setup to align projects across multiple teams and departments.

Since 2012, Rasmus has been working at Alexandra Instituttet. Rasmus started as a Research and Innovation Specialist before progressing to the role of Senior Digital Business Strategist. In 2019, they became Manager of Digital Business and finally, in 2022, they assumed the position of Manager of Business Innovation.

Rasmus Bækby has a strong educational background with a focus on information studies. Rasmus obtained a Master's degree in Information Studies from Aarhus University, where they studied from 1997 to 2002. Prior to their Master's degree, Rasmus studied at Aarhus University from 1994 to 1996, majoring in Law but did not complete a degree in this field.

Before attending university, Rasmus successfully completed their secondary education at Ringkøbing Gymnasium, where they obtained a Studentereksamen (equivalent to a high school diploma in Denmark) between 1990 and 1993.

In addition to their formal education, Rasmus Bækby has obtained several professional certifications related to Scrum and Agile methodologies. Rasmus became a Certified Scrum Practitioner® through the Scrum Alliance in November 2008. Furthermore, they achieved Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification, and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification in October 2008 and January 2008, respectively. These additional certifications highlight Rasmus' commitment to professional development in the field of project management and their expertise in Scrum.
