Philomena Fitzgerald is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in small business development and sports coaching. Currently serving as the Small Business Program Manager at Alexandria Economic Development Partnership since September 2020, Philomena has successfully organized educational programming and supported small business grant initiatives, resulting in significant growth for local enterprises. Concurrently, Philomena co-founded and directs AVA Magic, the first club field hockey program in Alexandria, while also contributing as an Assistant Field Hockey and Soccer Coach at Alexandria City Public Schools. Previous roles include managing programming at the Alexandria Small Business Development Center and directing the Alexandria Summer Field Hockey League. Philomena holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross and has a proven track record of enhancing community engagement and fostering athlete development.
