Amelie Lasker

Amelie Lasker is the co-founder and CEO of Alexandria Labs since May 2022. Prior to that, they were the founder and treasurer of The Civic Collective, Inc. from January 2021, where they developed curricula and crowdsource resources for civic engagement projects. Amelie also conceptualized, researched, and launched the Local Lore history project. As the senior manager of Leadership Program and senior counselor at InGenius Prep from May 2019 to May 2022, they piloted and taught the Leadership Program, advised projects, and wrote curricula. Amelie worked as a brand manager and contributing editor for FF2 Media from February 2016 to March 2022, advocating for women in the arts and overseeing film reviews and features. From February 2020 to December 2020, they worked as a grant writer for [Re]-Frame Media, where they developed business plans and pitch decks for documentary projects. Amelie also served as a business development analyst for Meritas from August 2019 to February 2020, focusing on publicizing a new online community for filmmakers. In addition, they founded Big Cat Consulting from May 2018 to May 2019, providing college application counseling for high school students. Amelie gained experience as a curatorial intern at The Paley Center for Media from January 2018 to May 2018 and as a blog editor for Double Exposure Journal from December 2014 to May 2018. Lastly, they worked as a playwright and producer for Nomads Theater from September 2015 to May 2016, writing and directing an original play called "Candy Hymns."

Amelie Lasker attended Columbia College, Columbia University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature. Amelie then pursued further education at the University of Cambridge from 2018 to 2019, where they completed a Master's degree with a focus on American Literature (United States).
