Karl Bach

Karl Bach currently serves as a Legislative Aide for the City of Alexandria, Virginia, since January 2022. Prior to this role, Karl was the Director of Communications at ALIVE! from December 2021 to August 2025. Karl has extensive experience in campaign management, having successfully managed campaigns for various candidates, including securing a Democratic nomination for Kirk McPike to the Alexandria City Council and managing efforts that raised significant funds and garnered endorsements. Additionally, Karl held positions at organizations such as the ACLU of Michigan, where Karl coordinated the Election Protection Program, and the National Center for Transgender Equality, where advocacy efforts focused on legislative impacts for the transgender community. Karl's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and International Politics from George Mason University, completed in 2007.
