Matt Robertson

Matt Robertson has a diverse work experience in communications and outreach. Matt currently serves as the Director of Communications at AlexRenew, where they manage strategic communications initiatives, oversees legislative activities, and manages internal and external events. Prior to that, they served as the Communications and Outreach Manager at AlexRenew, where they oversaw communications, community outreach, and customer service activities. Matt also has experience in the utility industry, having worked at NOVEC in various roles, including Manager of Public Relations and Customer Care. Matt started their career as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator at DHI - Door Security + Safety Professionals and later worked as a Communications Coordinator and Marketing Assistant at SGIA.

Matt Robertson completed their Master of Science degree in Strategic Communication and Public Relations from Purdue University in 2018-2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Christopher Newport University in 2005-2009. In terms of additional certifications, Matt obtained a Certificate of Completion in Advanced Google Analytics from Google in May 2021, a Certificate of Completion in Intro to Google Data Studio from Google in February 2021, and also completed a program on Strategic Communication Management from Purdue University - The Graduate School in August 2018.
