Lester S. Green, Jr. is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in arts management, teaching, and conducting. Currently serving as Assistant Director of the Children's Chorus of Washington and Artistic Advisor for the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, Lester also holds positions as a Voice Teacher at Morgan State University, Vocal Coach at both the University of Maryland and The Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University, and Artistic Director for the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts and Lester Green Associates LLC. Formerly, Lester was the Staff Accompanist/Coach at Duke Ellington School of the Arts and Minister of Music at Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church. With a Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano Performance from the University of Maryland and multiple degrees from The Johns Hopkins University and the University of South Carolina, Lester S. Green, Jr. combines expertise in music performance, education, and community outreach.
