Amy Smith

Amy Smith has extensive experience in the field of quality control microbiology, currently serving as a QC Microbiology Supervisor at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since February 2020, where Amy has held multiple roles including Microbiology Sterility Specialist and QC Senior Microbiologist. Prior to her tenure at Alexion, Amy worked at Helsinn Group from June 2017 to February 2020 in various capacities such as Quality Control Microbiologist and QC Analyst. Additional experience includes a position at Helsinn Birex Pharmaceutical as a Quality Control Microbiologist, an internship at Oldcastle Laboratories, and earlier roles at K.U.M Ltd and W.A.G.S Dog Grooming. Amy's educational background includes a Lean Six Sigma GB certification from the Institute of Technology, Sligo and an Honour degree in Applied Biology and Biopharmaceutical Science from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.
