Bao Zhang

Bao Zhang is an accomplished Senior Principal Informatics Scientist with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since April 2020, Bao previously held a similar position at Achillion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2002 to 2020, where responsibilities included leading the design and development of several in-house scientific software applications. Earlier career experience includes a role as a Data Analyst/Programmer at Neurogen Corporation, where enhancements to the company's internal website and the development of a chemical structure search application were significant contributions. Bao holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Computer Aided Design) from Zhejiang University.
