Justin L. Burt

Justin L. Burt is an accomplished chemical engineer with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Synthetic Product Development at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Justin founded the Synthetic Product Development team, overseeing critical CMC technical stewardship for synthetic drug substances and oral drug products from preclinical development to commercial licensure. Prior to this role, Justin held various leadership positions at Eli Lilly and Company, where responsibilities included managing a team of engineers and supporting drug development initiatives, as well as at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where Justin applied Quality by Design principles to enhance drug manufacturing processes. Justin earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
