Rachel Shannon

Rachel Shannon is an experienced professional in global regulatory affairs, currently serving as Director of Global Regulatory Affairs Advertising and Promotion at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since July 2020, after holding the position of Associate Director in the same department. Prior to this role, Rachel spent nearly a decade at AstraZeneca, where responsibilities included Head of Regulatory, Medical Information, and Patient Safety for Ireland and Malta, along with serving as Regulatory and Medical Affairs Lead. Rachel's career in regulatory affairs began at Quintiles as a Regulatory Affairs Manager from January 2005 to January 2011. Academic credentials include a Master of Science (MSc) in Biology and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology, both obtained from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
