Yasushi Otsuka

Yasushi Otsuka, Ph.D., serves as the Global Program Team Lead for Amyloidosis at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since January 2021, having also held the position of Japan program team lead for the same therapeutic area. Prior to Alexion, a notable tenure at Bristol Myers Squibb spanned from May 2003 to December 2020, where roles included Director and Head of Late Stage Oncology Development, Senior Manager of Clinical Research for Oncology, Clinical Operations Manager, and Clinical Strategy Team Leader. Earlier experience includes work at CMIC Group as a Clinical Site Monitor and at SmithKline Beecham Corporation as a Medical Sales Representative. Yasushi Otsuka holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Medicine and a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Medicine from Kitasato University, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Chemistry from Nihon University.
