David López has extensive work experience in various companies. David started their career at Farmacias Benavides in 1997, where they worked in strategic and financial planning for a year. In 1998, they joined Cervecería Cuauhtémoc-Moctezuma as a Financial Planning Manager. The same year, they also joined Vitro, serving as a Strategic Planning and M&A Manager until 2001, and then as a Corporate Risk Manager until 2005. In 2005, López joined Alfa Corporativo as the VP of Global Risk Management.
David López has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance, which they obtained from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 1995. David then pursued an MBA in Finance with honors from the same institution between 1996 and 1998. In 2001, they attended Thunderbird School of Global Management, where they studied Mergers & Acquisitions. David furthered their education at IPADE Business School from 2006 to 2007, focusing on Business Administration and Management. In 2011, David completed the Certified Risk Manager International program at The National Alliance For Insurance Educations & Research. David also participated in the Executive Leadership Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2011 to 2013. Lastly, in 2016, they obtained a Diploma in Corporate Social Responsibility from USEM Monterrey, A.C.
