Alberto Lapina

Alberto Lapina is an experienced materials specialist with a focus on product and process development for metal components in electrolyzer and fuel cell technologies at Alfa Laval since August 2021. Prior to this role, Alberto served as a Senior Materials Engineer at MAN Energy Solutions, where responsibilities included R&D on high temperature materials for marine diesel engines. Alberto's academic background includes a PhD in Electrochemistry and Materials Science from the Technical University of Denmark, alongside multiple master's degrees in Materials Design and Engineering from KTH and Politecnico di Milano. Key areas of expertise encompass processes such as welding, powder metallurgy, and additive manufacturing, as well as extensive research on electrochemical systems and high temperature materials.
