Roland Alford CEng FInstRE FIMechE MIExpE has over two decades of experience in the Defence, Security, Police and Corporate sectors. In 1997, they began their career as a Malaysian Correspondent for Asia Magazine. In 1999, they founded Bamboocity.com and xStream365.com, a web portal and news video streaming service linked with AFP news service. In 2002, they became the Group CEO of ALFORD Group, a customer focused company specialising in developing and providing innovative C-IED, CMD, Breaching and Explosives Demolitions tools and training. In 2011, they became a Director and Board Member of ATOM Training, a company that designs, develops, and delivers an evolving and comprehensive suite of innovative, EOD counter-terrorism training solutions.

Roland Alford CEng FInstRE FIMechE MIExpE has an extensive educational history. Roland is currently a PhD student at Cranfield University, studying Defence and Security, and previously earned a Bachelor of Engineering Hons. from UCL in Mechanical Engineering. Roland also attended The University of Tokyo to study Cultural Anthropology. Before that, they obtained their A' Levels from King Edward's School, Bath and their O' Levels from Hardenhuish School, Chippenham.
