Rachel Spicer

Rachel Spicer, PE, is a Project Manager and Associate at Benesch since February 2021 and serves as a Structure Specialist with FEMA, providing engineering support for the Colorado Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue team since December 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Professional Engineer at Finney & Turnipseed from June 2012 to January 2021, where responsibilities encompassed in-service bridge inspections, bridge load ratings, and construction inspection. Rachel's early career included roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Kansas State University, where assistance was provided to graduate research projects, and as a Civil Matters Content Developer, responsible for organizing the Civil Engineering department's magazine. Additionally, Rachel served as Editor-in-Chief of the Collegian Newspaper and held various editorial roles. Rachel holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University, earned in 2012.
