Randy Kaster

Randy oversees the operations and staffing needs within each Division at Benesch, ensuring the teams have the tools and resources required to deliver the best solutions possible to clients across the country.

Prior to serving as COO, Randy was Benesch’s first Railroad Division Manager. Under his leadership, the growth of Benesch’s national rail practice skyrocketed, including an expansion into Public Project work after securing large contracts with the Union Pacific Railroad, Genesee & Wyoming Railroad, and CSX. Prior to joining Benesch, Randy held executive leadership roles in other consulting firms and has earned a reputation as a forward-thinking technical expert with the proven ability to grow and mentor engineering teams at local, regional, and national levels.

He has been an active member of and held leadership positions in several professional organizations including the National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Council of Engineering Companies, and the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association.
