Janine Carter

Janine Carter is an experienced professional in health information management and project implementation, currently serving as the Implementation Lead for the Shared LIS Project at Alfred Health since December 2024. Janine acts as the Convenor for the Victorian Branch of the Health Information Management Association of Australia Limited (HIMAA) from April 2023. Previously, Janine held the role of Program Manager for the Digital Transformation Program at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine, overseeing significant initiatives such as case management solution replacement and cloud migration. As a Senior Project Manager at Uniting AgeWell, Janine led the implementation of clinical information software across multiple facilities. Janine's extensive earlier roles include management positions at Ballarat Health Services and Grampians Rural Health Alliance, coupled with strategic governance contributions at HIMAA, where Janine served as Vice President and National Conference Convenor. Janine holds a Master of Business Administration from Federation University Australia, along with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Information and a Diploma in Project Management.
