Sarah McGuinness is a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University since February 2016, recognized as an NHMRC Investigator Grant Emerging Leadership 1 Fellow (2023-2027) and RACP Cottrell Research Establishment Fellow (2023). McGuinness holds a PhD in Public Health, with a thesis focused on the health effects of water and hygiene interventions in low- and middle-income countries. In addition, McGuinness serves as an Infectious Diseases Physician at The Alfred Hospital's Travel Medicine Clinic and previously worked in various roles across health institutions, including a Senior Medical Advisor for Victoria's public health response to COVID-19. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and a Bachelor of Medical Science from the University of Melbourne, as well as a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University.
