Brenda Austin is an accomplished music professional with extensive experience as a handbell editor and music composer. Currently serving as a Handbell Editor at Hope Publishing Company since January 2019, Brenda has also held the position of Music Composer for multiple prestigious organizations, including GIA Publications, Inc., The Lorenz Corporation, Alfred Music, and Beckenhorst Press Inc. Notable compositions include "Let All That Hath Breath" and various arrangements of traditional hymns. Additionally, Brenda has been the Director of Worship at First United Methodist Church since July 2003 and served as Education Chair for the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers from 2009 to 2015. Brenda holds a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Western Michigan University.
