Kirk Brundage

Author: "afro Brazilian Percussion Guide" Book Series at Alfred Music

Kirk Brundage is an accomplished percussionist and author with extensive experience in the music industry. Since August 1999, Brundage has been with Alfred Music Publishing, Co., Inc., contributing to the "Afro Brazilian Percussion Guide" book series. Brundage also serves as an artist at CD Baby, where two solo-percussion CDs have been released, showcasing experimental music from a Fulbright scholarship in Europe. Additional roles include artist endorser at Remo Inc. (since June 2008), accompanist for the Dance Department at Santa Monica College (since January 2008), and director of the Music of Brazil Ensemble at UCLA (from July 2007 to July 2011). Brundage's education includes a Master of Fine Arts in Percussion from the California Institute of the Arts, a Fulbright study at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory, and a Bachelor of Music in Percussion from the University at Buffalo.
