Jeremy Brebion

Jeremy Brebion began their career in 2003 as a Laboratory Technician at Penngar. In 2005, they became an Engineer R&D at Biofortis. In 2009, they began a PhD Student role at NUI Galway, where they focused on brown seaweed polysaccharide extraction, purification and characterisation, as well as the investigation of the influence of extraction parameters on seaweed extract composition and bioactivity of seaweed extracts. In 2014, they became the CEO of ALGANACT, an original initiative offering scientific expertise and assistance towards the development of novel commercial products based on algae. In 2016, they took on the role of Laboratory Manager at ALGAIA, a company developing, producing and commercializing Natural Extracts, mostly made out of seaweed.

Jeremy Brebion completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from the University of Galway in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained an Engineer degree in Managment from EIA in 2008.
