Ziad Mokhtar

Founding Partner at Algebra Ventures

Ziad Mokhtar is a technology entrepreneur and investor. He is currently working on launching new technology ventures. Ziad is one of the Co-founders and a Managing Partner at Algebra Ventures, Egypt’s leading VC firm. He was also Managing Partner at Ideavelopers. Ziad has been an active VC investor since 2010. He has invested in many transformative technology companies in Egypt and the Middle East, including siware, vezeeta, elmenus, trella, dsquares, orcas, and posrocket.

Before becoming a venture investor, Ziad served as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company where he worked in areas of economic development, healthcare reform, and education. Prior to McKinsey, he co-founded eSpace in 2000 and served as its Chief Executive Officer until 2006. While at eSpace, he led the development of the number one mobile salesforce solution in the Middle East, and spearheaded eSpace’s international services.

Ziad holds an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Alexandria University.
