Douglas Branson

Douglas Branson currently serves as the Head of Business Development at Algebris Investments since July 2020. Prior to this role, Douglas held various positions at GAM Investments from April 2004 to May 2020, culminating as the Head of UK Distribution, where responsibilities included overseeing the distribution of investment products to UK intermediaries and managing teams focused on asset raising from discretionary investment management firms. Earlier positions at GAM involved directing sales efforts to private banks and wealth managers, as well as distributing mutual fund offerings. Douglas began their career at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers as a Portfolio Manager, where expertise in managing portfolios and relationships with intermediaries was developed. Douglas holds a BA Honours degree in European Philosophy and Literature from Anglia Ruskin University, attended Tonbridge School, and has extensive experience in investment distribution and business development.
