Algemene Vereniging van Reserve Militairen (AVRM)

The General Association of Reserve Soldiers (AVRM) is an interest group not only for reservists or former reservists, but also for professional soldiers, post-activists and interested non-military personnel, regardless of rank. The AVRM was founded on January 6, 1986 under the name General Association of Reserve Framework. At the time, membership was limited to the cadre of the Dutch Armed Forces. On June 5, 1993, it was decided during the General Members' Meeting to broaden the target group to all ranks. The name of the association was changed to General Association of Reserve Soldiers (AVRM). From that moment on, membership was open to reservists and former reservists of all Dutch Armed Forces and all ranks. BOT soldiers and civilians who are interested in the armed forces and in the ins and outs of reservists in particular, can be admitted as associate members by the board of the AVRM.
