Mike Burkart

Mike Burkart has worked in various roles since 1999. Mike began their career as an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard Medical School in 1999. In 2002, they joined UCSD as a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Prof. In 2018, they co-founded Algenesis Materials.

Mike Burkart completed their Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Rice University in 1994. Mike then went on to receive their PhD in Chemistry from Scripps Research in 1999.
