Asmaa Arbia

Asmaa Arbia is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Chef de Département Recherche & Développement at the Algerian Energy Company since November 2014. In this role, Asmaa leads technological monitoring and collaborates with universities and research centers to address challenges in seawater desalination, focusing on innovative solutions and energy optimization within the context of energy transition policies. Previous positions include project engineer, where Asmaa was involved in contract negotiations and site selections, as well as technical engineer, responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of several plants. Prior to the Algerian Energy Company, Asmaa worked at ENACT in various roles, including commercial responsibility and environmental inspection. Asmaa holds two Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Université des Sciences et de la Technologie 'Houari Boumediène'.
