Dr. Swathi Nallan currently serves as a Product Development Scientist at Alginor ASA since February 2023. Previously, Dr. Nallan was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Viterbo "La Tuscia" from May 2019 to August 2022, where expertise included near-infrared spectroscopy, hyper-spectral imaging, and predictive modeling while collaborating on projects related to prototype development and quality testing. Prior to this role, Dr. Nallan completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science and Biotechnology at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, where research focused on edible packaging for bakery products. Additional experiences include roles as a Research Fellow developing low impact wheat products, a Visiting PhD Student at Universidade de São Paulo, and various academic positions at Loyola Academy, Hyderabad. Dr. Nallan holds a Master of Science in Food Technology and an Executive Master's in Business Administration alongside a Bachelor of Science in Food Technology & Management.
