Adhiambo Oyier

Adhiambo Oyier has a strong background in Android development and software engineering. Adhiambo has worked at various companies, starting with an internship at Sendy Ltd in 2019, where they gained experience in backend development and worked on production modeling and algorithm implementation. Adhiambo then transitioned to a role as a Junior Software Engineer, where they focused on improving the latency of location tracking and developing a microservice for fetching delivery pricing information.

Adhiambo then moved on to Kyosk Digital Services in 2020, where they worked as an Android Engineer and was responsible for creating CI/CD pipelines, writing unit and integration tests, and developing an authentication service using Java and Spring Boot.

In 2021, Adhiambo joined Maisha Meds as an Android Software Engineer and worked on designing and developing architectural decisions to improve app stability and increase data sync frequency. Adhiambo also implemented forced updates and wrote extensive tests for new and existing code.

Currently, Adhiambo is working at Google via AlgoMarketing as an Android Developer and Team Lead at Oppia Foundation. Their responsibilities include providing technical design consultations, addressing user and adoption issues, and streamlining development workflows and documentation efforts.

Adhiambo Oyier completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from Kisii University from 2015 to 2021.
