Ashoka Patel M.ed.

Ashoka Patel M.Ed. is a seasoned professional in career development and employer engagement, currently serving as an Industry Engagement Specialist - Team Lead at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology since August 2017. In this role, Ashoka assists employers in meeting hiring needs and supports a team of Industry Engagement Specialists. Previously, Ashoka served as a Co-op Student Advisor, a Field Education Coordinator at Nipissing University, and held various roles at Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre and Y Employment ACCESS Centre focused on job development and employer relations. Ashoka's early experience includes volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society and working as a Public Relations Assistant at the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society. Ashoka holds a Master of Educational Counseling, Employment Counseling from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph.
