Ahmed Abdul has over 18 years of experience in various roles within the news and media industry. Their most recent role was as an Output Editor, News at Middle East Broadcasting Networks, where they were responsible for overseeing the daily production of news content. Prior to this, Ahmed worked as a Senior News Producer and News Producer at the same company, playing a key role in the relaunch of the Alhurra project.

Before joining Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Ahmed served as the Editor-in-Chief (Digital/Social Media) at Yalla Media Org - Iraq, where they led and supervised the production of multimedia news and features. Ahmed also ensured that content aligned with editorial and company strategies and maintained quality control and compliance with journalistic standards.

Earlier in their career, Ahmed worked as a Senior Producer for a 3-hour news program at Middle East Broadcasting Networks. In this role, they planned, supervised, and executed various news and visual elements and managed the production team to ensure accuracy and editorial integrity.

Ahmed's experience also includes working as a Field Producer at CBS News, where they covered Iraqi war news feature stories and special events in Iraq for various programs. Ahmed led a team and contributed to story pitching and investigation.

Lastly, Ahmed served as an Arabic Linguist for the US Army in Baghdad, where they assisted in communication between the US forces and the local community. Ahmed translated various meetings, town hall meetings, and conferences, helping bridge cultural and language gaps.

Overall, Ahmed Abdul has a wealth of experience in news production, editorial supervision, and linguistic support, showcasing their strong skills in storytelling, team management, and cultural understanding.

Ahmed Abdul attended Al-Mustansiriyah University in Iraq from 2001 to 2006. Ahmed pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from the College of Arts, specifically in the Translation department.
