Jim O'Brien

Jim O'Brien is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in server engineering and telecommunications. Currently serving as Vice President of Server Engineering at Alianza, Inc. since March 2021, Jim oversees the integration of CounterPath’s offerings into comprehensive communications solutions. Additionally, Jim contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor at both Wentworth Institute of Technology and Northeastern University, teaching courses related to cybersecurity and telecommunications. Prior to their role at Alianza, Jim held leadership positions at CounterPath, BridgePort Networks, Level(3), Genuity, and GTE Internetworking, where Jim developed expertise in VoIP and unified communications. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1996.
