Víctor Mayoral Vilches

Víctor Mayoral Vilches has been involved in the robotics industry since 2012. In that year, they co-founded Proyecto Erle, a project focused on the design and construction of a micro aerial vehicle. In 2013, they worked on the PLANTOID project at IIT - Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, which aimed to develop a new generation of robots and ICT technologies. In 2014, they were a Research Intern at the Open Source Robotics Foundation, and also worked on the BeaglePilot project for the BeagleBoard.org Foundation. In the same year, they co-founded Erle Robotics S.L., where they were the CTO and Chairman for two years. Víctor also acted as an Advisor for Acutronic in 2017. In 2016, they became the CEO and CTO of Acutronic Robotics, and in 2021 they became a System Architect for Robotics at Xilinx. Finally, in 2022 they became the CTO, Founder, and Chairman of Acceleration Robotics, where they design and implements the technological direction of the company.

Víctor Mayoral Vilches is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Robot Cybersecurity at Universität Klagenfurt, which they began in 2020. From 2013 to 2015, they obtained a PhD in BioRobotics from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. Víctor was an MS Exchange Student at Hanyang University from 2012 to 2013 and at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2010 to 2011. In 2013, they also completed Entrepreneurship initiatives at IE Business School. From 2007 to 2013, they studied Computer Science and Telecommunications Engineering at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. In 2017, they obtained a Deep Learning Foundations Nanodegree from Udacity. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Information Security: Context and Introduction from Coursera, Deep Learning Nanodegree Foundation from Udacity, and Computer Science 373: Programming a robotic car from Udacity.
