Miguel Lorenzo Montoto

Miguel Lorenzo Montoto is a skilled software project leader and development squad lead at Alice since July 2019, overseeing an 8-person team and collaborating with the Head of Product on task allocation and workflow planning. Prior to this role, Miguel served as a software development engineer, leading the development of a document OCR SaaS that processes 240,000 documents monthly. Previously at Gradiant from July 2017 to July 2019, Miguel worked as a junior researcher-engineer focusing on facial recognition and liveness detection solutions, as well as designing evaluation metrics for facial recognition engines. Miguel began his career as an R&D intern engineer, dedicating efforts toward biometric solutions during a master's thesis. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Telecommunication Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication Technologies Engineering from Universidade de Vigo.
