Philipp Sares

Philipp Sares has a diverse work experience starting with their current role as a Business Developer in the Site Origination & Development team at Alight. In this position, they focus on accelerating the transition to solar energy by identifying and evaluating opportunities for constructing new ground-mounted solar power plants.

Prior to their current role, Philipp worked as a Summer Intern at Verbund in 2022, where they gained valuable experience. In 2020, they worked as a Working Student at Verbund's Hydro Consulting department, providing support in the organization and technical implementation of engineering consulting projects worldwide. Philipp was also involved in the design review of hydropower plants.

Before their time at Verbund, Philipp served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Distance Learning Coordinator at Vienna University of Technology from 2020 to 2021. Philipp supported teaching activities and coordinated distance learning initiatives.

Earlier in their career, Philipp worked as a Management Assistant at Oswald & Kalb from 2017 to 2020, contributing to the administrative tasks of the company. Philipp also gained experience as a Civil Servant at CS Caritas Socialis from 2016 to 2017.

Furthermore, Philipp has gained early professional exposure through a Summer Internship at P8 Marketing in 2014.

Philipp Sares completed their high school education at Schottengymnasium from 2008 to 2016, earning a High School Diploma. Philipp then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Management at Technische Universität Wien, where they studied from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they are enrolled at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, pursuing a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
