Hakan Kardes

Hakan Kardes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Hakan is currently serving as the Chief Technology and Experience Officer (CTO/CXO) at Alignment Health since March 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Alignment Health from January 2019.

Before joining Alignment Health, Hakan worked as the Vice President of Data Science and Analytics at Big Fish Games in 2018. From 2015 to 2018, they served as the Vice President of Data Science and Advanced Analytics at Cambia Health Solutions.

Hakan's earlier experiences include working at Intelius as a Principal Consultant from 2011 to 2015 and as a Principal Scientist from 2011 to 2015. Hakan also worked as a Data Research Intern at Intelius in 2011, where they developed clustering comparison and clustering approaches for massive databases.

Prior to their industry experience, Hakan worked as a Graduate Teaching/Research Assistant at the University of Nevada Reno from 2009 to 2012. Here, they focused on developing approaches for mining large-scale graphs and constructing Internet mapping systems using state-of-the-art techniques. In 2008, Hakan worked as a Research Intern at TUBITAK and as a Software Intern at Inteltek in 2007.

Hakan Kardes completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University between the years 2004-2009. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Nevada, Reno, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 2009-2010. Subsequently, they continued their academic journey at the University of Nevada, Reno and obtained a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from 2009-2012.
