Rachel Buckman, MHA, CPHQ has extensive work experience in healthcare and quality improvement roles. Rachel is currently working as a Clinical Operations Project Manager at Alignment Health since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Alignment Healthcare as a Clinical Operations Training Manager from October 2021 to April 2022. Before that, they worked at Arena Labs as a Partnerships & Client Success role from April 2021 to September 2021.

In 2019, Rachel joined Roper St. Francis as a Strategic Operations Advisor, where they provided high-level strategic and operational analysis, coordinated projects, and ensured quality and cost-effective healthcare delivery. Rachel also served as a Project Manager, Clinical Services, collaborating with the executive team and managing projects related to COVID-19 response and vaccine distribution.

Rachel's previous experience includes working at MedStar Washington Hospital Center as an Administrative Manager, MWHC Physician Services from September 2019 to April 2021. Rachel also held the role of Senior Quality Project Manager, High Reliability from July 2018 to December 2019 and Quality Project Manager, Infection Prevention & Patient Safety from August 2016 to October 2018. During their time at MedStar, they led various quality and safety initiatives, facilitated event reviews and root cause analyses, and managed the hospital's safety coach program.

Before MedStar, Rachel worked at The George Washington University Hospital as a Staffing Specialist from January 2014 to August 2016. Rachel also interned as a Quality and PI Intern from November 2015 to April 2016, where they contributed to patient safety projects and data analysis.

Rachel's early career included a role as a Medical Assistant at Frederick Foot & Ankle from May 2012 to February 2014.

Rachel Buckman, MHA, CPHQ has a solid education history in the field of health care administration and management. Rachel obtained their Master of Health Administration degree from The George Washington University, where they studied Health/Health Care Administration/Management from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, with a minor in Business Administration, from Towson University from 2007 to 2011.

In addition to their educational achievements, Rachel has also completed several certifications. Rachel obtained the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality® (CPHQ) designation from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in January 2021. This certification reflects their expertise and knowledge in healthcare quality practices. Furthermore, they completed the Performing Respirator Fit Tests certification from Accredible in June 2020, demonstrating their dedication to maintaining occupational health and safety standards.
