Mariela Betts

Mariela Betts has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Mariela started working as a Microbiologist MLT (ASCP) at Stamford Health in 2007 and continued in that role until 2013. From 2011 to 2013, they also worked as a Medical Laboratory Technician- Generalist MLT (ACSP) at St. Vincent Medical Center. In 2013, Mariela joined Montefiore Information Technology as an Application Analyst. Mariela then moved to Montefiore Health System in 2016 and held the position of Pathology Administrator until 2021. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing business administration, budgeting, billing and coding, HR operations, IT functions, and project management. Currently, Mariela works at Alignment Healthcare as the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations for the North Carolina market. Mariela is responsible for executing the company's mission and vision, strategic planning, and managing clinic operations.

Mariela Betts, MSHA, LSSGB has a diverse education history. In 2003, they attended Housatonic Community College where they obtained an Associate's degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technician. Mariela then pursued further studies at Sacred Heart University from 2008 to 2013, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a focus on Leadership. In 2015 and 2016, Mariela attended the University of New Haven, completing a Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration. Finally, in 2020, they obtained a LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Florida Institute of Technology.
