John Cortez

John Cortez has a diverse work experience in the field of Oligonucleotide Chemistry. John began their career in 2008 as a Biological Laboratory Science Technician at the FDA where they carried out various tasks pertaining to microbiology and chemistry. In 2010, they joined Biosearch Technologies as an Oligonucleotide Production Technician II, where they were responsible for running high-priority orders and using LCMS and UPLC on a daily basis. John also worked as an Oligonucleotide Lead Production Technician, overseeing production and training new technicians. In 2015, they joined Alios BioPharma as an Associate Scientist in Oligonucleotide Chemistry. John later progressed to the role of Senior Associate Scientist before joining Aligos Therapeutics in 2018, where they worked as a Senior Associate Scientist and then as a Scientist I in Oligonucleotide Chemistry.
