Margarita Chavez

Margarita Chavez currently serves as a Board Member for Aligos Therapeutics and Newron Pharmaceuticals SpA, where responsibilities include chairing the Business Development Committee and participating in the Audit and R&D Committees. Additionally, Margarita holds the position of Board Advisor and Venture Partner at Wellington Life Science Partners. Involvement in academia is highlighted through a role as a Member of the Board of Regents at Santa Clara University. Previous board memberships include ReAx Biotechnologies, AmbAgon, Enthera Pharmaceuticals, and Nitrase Therapeutics, all from April 2020 to April 2023. As the Managing Director of AbbVie Ventures from January 2016 to April 2023, Margarita cultivated extensive industry experience.
