Yuchun Nie has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research and drug development. They began their career as a Scientist at Peking University, where they studied viral vaccine and surface protein regulation. They conducted various experiments and guided students in their research.
After their time at Peking University, Yuchun Nie worked as a Research Fellow at Columbia University Medical Center and later as a Research Associate at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. These roles allowed them to further expand their knowledge and skills in research.
In 2011, Yuchun Nie joined Roche as a Research Scientist. In this position, they were involved in large molecule drug development and antiviral assay development. They also conducted research on hepatitis B virus and developed assays to detect and analyze various viral components. They authored assay protocols and presented their findings in group meetings and seminars.
Following their time at Roche, Yuchun Nie worked as a Scientist at Assembly Biosciences, where they continued their work in scientific research. They then joined The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as a Scientist, further contributing to the field.
Currently, Yuchun Nie holds the position of Senior Scientist at Aligos Therapeutics, where they continue to utilize their expertise and contribute to the development of new drugs and therapies.
Yuchun Nie obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cell Biology & Immunology from Peking University, where they studied from 1999 to 2002.
