Ruza Obad

Ruza Obad, CPA, CMA, ICD.D has extensive experience in finance and treasury management. Ruza is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Alinea International since April 2019. Previously, from 2011 to 2019, they held the roles of Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer at UFA Co-operative Ltd. In this position, they oversaw a $275M asset-based credit facility, implemented ancillary facilities, and played a key role in negotiating two ABL renewals. Prior to this, from 2007 to 2011, they worked as a Treasury Analyst at Canexus, where they managed treasury operations and customer credit, optimized the treasury management system, and restructured internal credit categories. Ruza started their career at Bell Canada, where they served as an Associate Director. In this role, they completed a sales compensation model and acted as Finance Manager for Network Operations with a budget of $90M.

Ruza Obad obtained their CPA, CMA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Calgary in 1999. Additionally, they completed a program at the Institute of Corporate Directors, acquiring the ICD.D designation.
