Jonathan Feuchtwang

General Counsel at Alio Medical

Jonathan Feuchtwang is the General Counsel at Alio Medical. Jonathan has extensive experience in intellectual property, employment law, and contract law.

Jonathan began their legal career at Evalve, a start-up medical device company. Jonathan was the sole attorney at Evalve, and they handled all of the company's legal matters, including intellectual property, employment agreements, and consulting agreements. Jonathan also worked concurrently at Cierra and Cabochon Aesthetics, two sister companies that were spun-out of The Foundry, an incubator in Menlo Park, CA.

In November 2009, Evalve was acquired by Abbott Vascular. Jonathan continued to work at Abbott Vascular as the Vice President of Legal Affairs. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing the patent strategy for the company. Jonathan also oversaw the patent portfolio, monitored the patent filings of competitors, and identified opportunities for filing blocking patents. Jonathan also drafted patent applications, confidential disclosure agreements (CDAs), consulting agreements, material transfer agreements, licensing agreements, and collaboration agreements.

Jonathan is an expert in medical device law, surgical implant law, surgical method law, and software law. Jonathan has a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape for medical devices, and they have helped Alio Medical navigate the ever-changing legal landscape. Jonathan is an invaluable member of the Alio Medical team, and they have played a pivotal role in the success of the company.

Jonathan Feuchtwang has a JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, an MBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University. Jonathan is also certified by the Supreme Court of California in the California Bar, USPTO in the Patent Bar, Supreme Court of Illinois in the Illinois Bar, and Supreme Court of the U.S. in the Supreme Court Bar.

Jonathan Feuchtwang reports to David Kuraguntla, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Adarsh Parekh - VP, Finance, Ray Farnham - COO, and Amy Steig - VP, Clinical Affairs.
