Dr. Ahmad Bechara

Dr. Ahmad Bechara is a seasoned professional in global pricing and market access, currently serving as Managing Partner at Alira Health since January 2020, where responsibilities also include the roles of Senior Vice President and Vice President for Global Market Access. Prior experience includes the position of Director of Pricing & Market Access at Wellmera from January 2016 to December 2019 and various roles at Novartis, including Global Market Access for Cardio-metabolic and Research & Development as a long-term EMBO Fellow in Neuroscience and Genetics from October 2008 to April 2016. Additionally, Dr. Bechara was a Board Director for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Europe Chapter. An academic background includes a postdoctoral research position at the University of California, San Diego, focusing on neural circuit assembly and stability, a PhD in Genetics and Neuroscience from Université Claude Bernard Lyon I, and essential training in clinical study management.
