Andrew Piltser-Cowan

Andrew Piltser-Cowan has a diverse work experience with various legal organizations. Andrew currently works as a Software Engineer at Aliro Quantum since 2023. Prior to this, they were the Vice President for Operations and General Counsel at Cowan Research, L.C. starting from 2013. Andrew also had their own law firm, PiltserCowan Law LLC, where they worked as the Principal Attorney from 2018 to 2022. Andrew grew the firm from a solo practice to a ten-person, multi-practice boutique firm by developing information systems to manage client-matter life cycles and the firm's operations. Andrew also developed an all-digital, remote-friendly work environment at a time when most firms were paper-based. Before this, they worked as an Attorney at Law Office of Andrew Cowan and a Trial Attorney at the Committee for Public Counsel Services Public Defender Division. Andrew also worked as a Judicial Extern at Schuyler County Court and as a Law Clerk at The Pro Bono Project (New Orleans) and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.

Andrew Piltser-Cowan completed high school at Ames High School. Andrew earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Astronomy, with a minor in German, from the University of Iowa in 2005. From 2005 to 2008, they attended Cornell Law School and graduated cum laude with a JD degree in Law.
