Perla de Jesus

Perla De Jesus is an emerging fashion design professional currently serving as a Fashion Design Intern at Alivia since May 2022, where the focus is on promoting inclusivity within the fashion industry for individuals with disabilities. Concurrently, Perla works as a Program Assistant at the Center For All Abilities, engaging in vocational training for youth on the autism spectrum. Previous roles include a Seasonal Sales Associate position at FlynnO'Hara Uniforms and an internship in journalism and media at Riverdale Neighborhood House, where Perla contributed to the development of articles aimed at supporting teens. Additionally, experience as a Youth Changemaker Intern at Local Civics involved co-creating solutions for homeless women’s challenges. Perla is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design—Knitwear at the Fashion Institute of Technology, building upon an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Fashion Design from the same institution.
