Stephen Dyer

Dr. Dyer has over 27 years of industry and consulting experience. During his career, Steve has had extensive automotive industry experience directing the development of new business strategy, including electric, autonomous and digital connected vehicles and smart mobility, and traditional business strategy and operational transformation. He has also managed research and development for an industrial technology firm, specializing in active vibration control of rotating machinery. Prior to joining AlixPartners, he was Ford Motor Company Asia Pacific Vice President for Business Strategy, based in Shanghai. Previously, Steve was a Partner at Bain & Company and at A.T. Kearney consulting firms. Steve has an MBA from University of Michigan Ross Business School, a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. A US citizen, Steve is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has lived and worked in Greater China for over 18 years.
