Jennifer Bennett began their work experience in 2001 as a Research Associate/Tissue Engineer at Carnegie Mellon University. Jennifer then transitioned to the role of Research Associate III at the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. From 2007 to 2012, they worked as a Graduate Student at the Center for Genomic Sciences/Allegheny General Hospital, leading a clinical research study discovering biomarkers for multiple sclerosis patients and discovering a novel protein family for the treatment of otitis media. In 2012, they joined Biogen as a Senior Medical Science Liaison, where they played a critical role in establishing and maintaining educational and research collaborations with key opinion leaders. Jennifer then moved to Sage Therapeutics in 2017, where they held various positions including Sr. Medical Science Liaison, Associate Director for Medical Science Liaisons, and Field Medical Director. In 2022, they joined Magenta Therapeutics as a Senior Director of Medical Affairs, and in 2023, they became the Senior Director of Medical Affairs for North America at ALK.
Jennifer Bennett earned their Bachelor's degree in Biology from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 1999. Jennifer then obtained a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Duquesne University between 1999 and 2001. Later, from 2004 to 2007, they studied Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh. Finally, Jennifer pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Immunology at Drexel University College of Medicine, completing their degree in 2011.
